So I spent the whole day at MD Anderson in Houston today.

The Dr. here is one of the country’s top experts in several Endocrinological areas.  We spent 3 hours in his office today.  Verdict?  He thinks Austin Dr. may be wrong.

So we are repeating tests i’ve done twice before.  Bloodwork was done before I left today.  Other tests I brought back with me to hotel (which I am confined to all evening and day tomorrow).  We have to stay until tomorrow afternoon, when I have to turn the tests back in.

Not sure where this is going to go.  I will admit, I am heartbroken.  I thought we had an answer and just trying to select a solution.

I’m trying to be optimistic, but it’s been hard today 😦

I dont understand. If its a tumor, its a tumor right? Didn’t the Austin Dr. SEE that on your MRI? Or was it a figment of his imagination.

    • It may not be active and causing the issues. It is there but if it’s not active, there is no reason to remove.

He did say it may be slightly active, which may be hard to show up on tests. In that case, they’d leave and an watch for a few years if they need too. yuck.

Either way, they ordered more tests.

I cried when he told me all of this. We were in his office for 3 hours. Saw 2 different guys, specialist and his assistant Dr.
