Being a grown up

Sometimes you just have to be a grown-up and accept the fact you can’t do something you’d like.

Today probably 20 people I knew hung out all afternoon in Luckenbach for a laid back concert.  I wanted to go, especially since Dan decided to drive and not ride the motorcycle.

However, being gone from home for over 8 hours today was not an option.

I was really productive before he woke up.  I did the usual gym (upper body and some bike to loosen those legs).  Then groceries, then laundry.  Last load of laundry is in the dryer now.  Somewhere in the middle of that, Dan left and I made lunch.

Tomorrow night’s dinner is in the crockpot (new recipe).  Breakfast for the next 3 days made (quick quiche).  Lunches for the next 3 days in progress (pork chops and brown rice medley).

Most importantly I worked on a presentation that I get to hand off to someone else to give.  Not completely happy about this, but it’s what needs to be done.  It’s going to be another doozy of a week, with tons to do during and after work every day.

While it may have not been my first choice to stay at home today, it was the best choice.  And working on all of those things above will make an already hectic week a little bit easier in the long run 🙂
